Lease Opportunity

 "Apachee-"Patch" - Currently leased

Apachee, "Patch", is an 18 y/o Irish Sport Horse. I showed him in the Child/Adult Jumpers (3'6-3'9/Level 4) in Florida throughout high school. He is accustomed to an active schedule and he seems happiest when he has a "job" and is being fussed over. Patch is a golden retriever in a horse's body—he has the single most level-headed and pleasant personality of any horse I've worked with (though I may be a little biased). He takes a confident rider—he does not spook or misbehave; however, when jumping he asks for 100% of your trust in him to do his part (and if you do, he will do that job well every time!) He is naturally a fast jumper and performs best with an assertive ride, kept engaged in a very forward pace and up in front of you. On the flat, he is wonderful and I've found it to be extremely relaxing to do flatwork with him, though he is much lazier in that department than when jumping.

Patch has joined me in North Carolina while I study at Davidson College. Because of my busy schedule, I'm looking for someone to half-lease him—paying ½ his board fee per month—to help me keep him in tip-top shape. Ideally, I would like to give him one day off per week (your choice Mon-Thurs), while I ride him Fri-Sun, and leave the other three days to the lessee. I'm willing to be flexible, so if it is the schedule or money that is holding you back, please talk to me anyway.
