Jessy
Winfield - Head Trainer
Jessy's
forté is teaching riders how to feel the connection with their
equine partner in order to bring about the best possible performance
in the show ring as well as at home. She instills in her students
the idea that success is best obtained through the combination of
dedication, consistency and a correct position. She has the innate
ability to teach all levels from young riders to those still "young
at heart." While utilizing a common-sense approach aimed at the
rider's skill level, Jessy's use of positive reinforcement to achieve
balanced seat technique results in a tailored lesson program that
benefits all riders.
Originally
from Easton, PA, Jessy Hageter Winfield moved to the Charlotte area
in July of 1983. Through her dedication and love of the sport, she became
a well-known junior rider in USEF Zone 3 A-rated competitions. She specialized
in equitation, and also excelled in the Hunter ring which led to opportunities
as catch rider, trainer, coach and barn manager. Jessy has been with
the Southlake Family since May of 2003. She combines 18 years of experience
with a true passion for total horsemanship, which results in the ability
to bring out the best in riders of all ages.
